Last night we were treated to a journey round the British Isles and the world, thanks to Ian Kennedy and his amazing ability to mimic the sounds of dozens of different accents and dialects – all the while explaining to us the importance of proper breathing, shape of the mouth and the tongue in producing such sounds. He managed to do it all in a whistle-stop one hour tour, giving us humorous anecdotes along the way. It was a most entertaining evening and I’m sure all the ladies have taken some useful hints and tips for our own singing and vowel production.
